Build a Career Shaping the Way Melbourne Grows
For more than 40 years, Breese Pitt Dixon has helped shape Melbourne’s land development industry through civil engineering, surveying and planning. Behind that track record is a close-knit team who take real ownership of their work — turning plans into the streets, parks and communities of tomorrow. If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
Why BPD
Our people are why we’ve remained a trusted partner on some of Melbourne’s largest land development projects for over four decades. You get the technical depth and project scale of a large firm with the close, collaborative culture of a smaller one — so your work is meaningful and your contribution is seen.
Our Directors are hands-on on every project, so you’ll learn directly from some of the industry’s most experienced professionals — on real work, from day one.
The Work We Do
Our civil engineers, surveyors, planners and urban designers work side by side across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility studies to final approvals and construction. Wherever your expertise sits, you’ll collaborate across disciplines and see how every piece fits together.
Civil Engineering, Design & Construction
Our engineers deliver practical, cost-effective solutions at every scale — designing major estates and critical infrastructure such as wetlands, retarding basins, trunk sewers, drainage and roads, and managing delivery through tendering, contract management and superintendent roles.
Land Surveying & Spatial
Led by Licensed Surveyors with deep expertise in the Victorian Land Tenure System, our surveying team handles the most complex subdivision projects. You’ll use advanced technology, including GPS and drone surveying, across broadacre and apartment subdivisions, engineering set-out, easement and title dealings, and as-constructed verification.
Planning & Urban Design
Our planning and urban design team creates practical, buildable subdivision layouts that win approval — spanning statutory and strategic planning, the Precinct Structure Plan process, permit applications and ResCode analysis, and stakeholder engagement with local and state government.
What We Value
Four values guide every project and they’re the qualities we look for in the people who join us.
Integrity & Ethics
Honesty, fairness and transparency in everything we do.
Professionalism
Pride in delivering work of the highest quality.
Teamwork
Collaboration within our teams, with clients and with project partners.
Communication
Open, timely and transparent, keeping every project aligned.
Growing Your Career
Whether you’re a graduate taking your first step or an experienced professional ready for more, you’ll be supported to grow — with mentoring from senior colleagues, exposure to a broad cross-section of the industry, and support toward the registration and accreditation that matters in your field.

Even if we’re not recruiting in your discipline right now, we’d still like to hear from you.
